Hello
I'm Ana, a Board-Certified Analyst with a Bachelor's degree in Health Science and a minor in Psychology, along with a Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis. I hold certifications in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Skills, as well as in Severe to Profound Intellectual Disabilities with a focus on Anxiety, Mood, and Addictive Behaviors. I have experience working with individuals aged 3 to 28 who have various behavioral and communication needs. My passion lies in assisting individuals with disabilities and caregivers in navigating behaviors and the field ABA.
My Story
I began my journey in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as a Registered Behavior Technician working in a clinic setting. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the meaningful impact this work has on individuals and families. I quickly fell in love with the field and the population I served. The dedication and passion I saw in my supervisors deeply inspired me, and I knew I wanted to follow in their footsteps. Two years later, I completed my master’s degree and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). To this day, I remain connected with the mentors who first encouraged my commitment to the field.
Over time, I’ve also become more aware of some of the systemic challenges within the field. In South Florida, navigating strict insurance requirements can make it difficult for families to access the support they need. At the same time, inconsistencies in training and oversight may lead to unintentional errors in service delivery. These complexities have led to increased regulation, which, while well-intentioned, can sometimes create additional hurdles for both families and providers who are committed to ethical, high-quality care.
I believe that every family deserves access to high-quality, ethical ABA services—regardless of financial status. That’s why I’m passionate about offering free, accessible, and easy-to-understand resources. These tools help caregivers recognize quality ABA, address challenging behaviors, and spot red flags within the field. Together, through education and advocacy, we can help uplift the standards of care and create lasting, positive change in the field of ABA.
